“第三届中国、非洲和加拿大城市可持续发展国际会议”志愿者动员会顺利召开

2019年4月16日下午“第三届中国、非洲和加拿大城市可持续发展国际会议”志愿者动员会议在敬文园101召开。副院长孟莹主持会议，王赛兰老师参会。孟院长在会上向所有参与的志愿者表达了学院的感谢，向同学们介绍了本次会议的重要性以及未来会涉及的志愿者工作的安排。参与志愿者活动的同学在本次会议上彼此熟悉，了解了大会的安排和志愿者活动的组织流程，共同表达了对七月份大会举行的憧憬和期待。ICCCASU超越了南北或南南合作的传统模式，促成了一场非洲各国、加拿大与中国之间的三方对话。继2015年在加拿大渥太华举行的ICCCASU I和2017年在喀麦隆雅温得举行的ICCCASU II取得巨大成功之后，ICCCASU III将通过探讨非洲，中国以及加拿大不同城市的发展模式来确定在不同的地理，历史，政治和经济背景下，如何解决城市的脆弱性，提升发展效率与城市繁荣，并推动指挥城市发展。本次会议是我院协办重要的有国际影响力的会议之一，从筹办以来得到了学校、大会组委会以及其他兄弟学院的鼎力支持，共有来自城建学院、外语学院、文新学院的三十余位同学报名参加本次会议的志愿者活动，关于本次大会的新闻将持续为大家跟踪更新，希望大家能够一直关注。

“The 3rd International Conference on Canadian, Chinese and African Sustainable Development”Volunteer mobilization sessionWang SailanSouthwest Minzu University, School of Urban Planning and ArchitectureOn the afternoon of April 16, 2019, the “3rd International Conference on Canadian, Chinese and African Sustainable Development” volunteer mobilization meeting was held in Jingwenyuan 101. Vice Dean Meng Ying hosted the meeting and Professor Wang Sailan attended the meeting. At the meeting, Vice Dean Meng expressed her appreciation to all the participating volunteers, explained the importance of this meeting to the volunteers, and discussed about the future work arrangement for the volunteers. The volunteers introduced to each other. They understood the conference procedures and the organization process of the volunteer activities. They are excited about the conference in July.Moving beyond the conventional practice of North-South or South-South Cooperation, ICCCASU fosters a triangular dialogue between African countries, Canada and China. Following the success of ICCCASU I, held at Ottawa, Canada in 2015, and ICCCASU II, held at Yaoundé, Cameroon in 2017. ICCCASU III will examine current urban development models in African countries, Canada and China in order to identify how best to address fragility, reduce vulnerability and to promote efficiency, prosperity and smart urban development across a range of geographic, historical, political and economic contests.  This conference is one of the important international conferences co-organized by our college (xxx). It has received the support from the university, the organizing committee and other brothers' colleges since the preparation. More than 30 students from Urban Construction College, the Foreign Language College and the Wenxin College participated in the volunteer recruitment.
